Talk Journalism is back with its Sixth Edition

Jaipur, 20 September 2019 – A small town of Kukas in outskirts of Jaipur Rajasthan draws eminent journalists from India and abroad as Talk Journalism returns to the city in its sixth edition. The festival celebrates on open discussions on the media world and has also drawn upon eminent personalities from politics and other segments of mass media. It’s an annual opportunity for media students and enthusiasts to be part of the experience and hundreds of students from across India registered their presence as the festival was formally inaugurated on Friday by Rajiv Kapoor, general manager Hotel Fairmont.

The inaugural was followed by a session of Parliamentarian Shashi Tharoor and eminent journalist Karan Thapar on Shrinking space of dissent. The session in Tharoor’s own words was ‘Terrific’ and had ‘Excellent’ questions from the crowd. Later Tharoor also shared a photo with Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson, both of them speakers on different sessions had met on sidelines of the event on its day one.

The day proceeded with a discussion on several critical issues of ‘casteism in newsroom’ to ‘carving space on YouTube’ before the break. The lunch too did not dowse down the enthusiasm of the audience and ‘The Google Workshop’.
